Important: This item is print on demand. This means that I only send an art print to the printer when an actual order has been placed. Because I don’t have the prints in stock, delivery times may be slightly longer than you are used to.

When I first started this illustration, I had no idea if I’d ever be able to finish it. But I loved this photo (taken during a trip to Venice in 2021) so much that I knew instantly I had to do something with it.

I started working on it in 2023 and only finished it last month. Sometimes (...often) an illustration needs room to breathe. I frequently got stuck on the sheer amount of detail and wasn't always sure which direction to take. Whenever that happened, I’d hit the ‘close’ button and let the piece rest—sometimes for months at a time. When the itch to create finally returned, I was able to look at it with fresh eyes (and new skills!) and I would know exactly how to move forward.

And now, it’s finally finished! My magnum opus ;) You wouldn't believe how many hours went into this, but it’s incredibly rewarding to complete something I’ve poured so much love and attention into.

Full color illustration printed on handmade and acid-free Hahnemühle paper (Photo Mat Fiber 200). The paper has a matte and smooth surface structure, which results in a luxurious art print without reflection. The printed colors are mindblowingly deep and bright, almost as good as their digital counterparts!

Frame not included.
